Elevating the E-Commerce Experience for a Leading Skincare Brand
Role: One of the fastest-growing skincare brands in the country needed an efficient, robust, and engaging e-commerce platform to enhance their brand positioning and scale digital revenue. I collaborated with Strategy and UX Designers to re-engineer user flows and site structure, focusing on maximizing user engagement. I led the creative direction and UI design to develop an elevated brand experience.
Challenge: The project presented several challenges: the product line included hundreds of SKUs spanning home goods, skincare products, and food, leading to a complex and hard-to-navigate site. Users frequently dropped off while searching for products. The brand aimed to elevate its look and feel in light of a change in ownership, emphasizing skincare products while maintaining its homemade appeal and showcasing local artisans.
Solution: Collaborating with a UX designer, we reorganized the site flow to prioritize skincare products and improve navigation through intuitive filters. Key solutions included:
Artisan Highlighting: Created dedicated pages for local artisans to showcase their craft, ensuring their presence was prominent and engaging.
Consistent Imagery: Conducted a comprehensive photoshoot to establish a consistent visual style across all product imagery.
Enhanced Navigation: Streamlined site navigation to facilitate easier discovery of skincare products while preserving the brand’s artisanal charm.
Brand Story Page: Incorporated a Brand Story page to narrate the brand’s heritage and evolution, reinforcing its commitment to authenticity and local craftsmanship.
The result was a refined e-commerce platform that effectively highlighted skincare products, improved user experience, and maintained the brand’s artisanal identity, leading to increased engagement and revenue. Live site: https://beekman1802.com/
