Google | Pixel 9 Pro Launch Commercial

Project Overview: Google partnered with The Mill to launch the Google Pixel 9, encompassing multiple ad formats for various global markets. As the Lead Designer on this project, I played a key role in orchestrating the design and animation elements for a comprehensive campaign that included 60, 30, 15, and 5-second spots targeted at the US, Canadian, European, and Asian markets.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration and Coordination: Worked closely with the Google team, producers, and our internal compositing and design teams to ensure the seamless integration of all design elements.

  • Design Management: Oversaw and managed a team of designers, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project specifications throughout the job.

  • Design Execution: Created animated UI elements, supers, and various graphic scenes to enhance the visual appeal of the ads.

Project Challenges:

  • High-Level Organization: Required meticulous organization and constant communication among team members to manage numerous moving parts effectively. Our team was spread across Bangalore, London, NY, Chicago and LA and we needed to overlap timezones and work together as seamlessly as possible.

  • Asset Management: Handled various Figma files from the client, tracked missing assets, and animation references, and reviewed feedback decks to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Client Interaction: Participated in weekly client calls to discuss progress and address any issues or changes promptly.

  • Localization and Versions: Created multiple alternate versions in different languages and met stringent deadlines to accommodate diverse market needs.

Final Deliverables:

  • After Effects Toolkits: I developed comprehensive After Effects toolkits for each ad spot, which were provided to localization teams. These toolkits included:

    • Organized Builds: Clean, well-organized After Effects compositions with all design and editable layers.

    • UI Tracking: Smooth tracking of UI to mobile devices for every shot involving visible UI elements.

    • Adaptability: Ensured that localization teams could make necessary adjustments for additional out-of-home ads or promotions.

This project required a blend of creative design, technical precision, and effective team management to deliver high-quality ads for the Google Pixel 9 launch.

Google NYC | OOO Ads

Google partnered with The Mill to launch the Pixel Fold across New York City. I was tasked with animating the UI and typography and tracking the UI to the phones across the 25+ unique digital screens across various Time Square screens and throughout JFK, Newark and LaGuardia Airports.
